Background

Play starts in the hills near the Radnorshire Road

Ifan the Black, Bandit with a Bounty on his head
Wanted for banditry, slaughter, and crimes against the gods.
Ifan is new to the area, increasingly infamous.
Presto knows of a magical treasure, defended by an unnatural threat.
Rumors of the undead coming from the hills to the west. (“West” is western side of Cantref Elfael)
Undead are known to fear the sun. Some may lair underground, some may lair in dense wilderness.

After a brief engagement of the rocky ground north and east of the crossroads: two of the Saexa barbarians are dead, Tu’un (Erdudfyl’s bearly there animal companion) is dead, Erdudfyl is dead, Meuring has ripped asunder the fabric of reality due to inauspicious spellcasting and followed Erdudfyl into the lands beyond death (without technically being dead yet himself), Shank has beat a hasty retreat with the intention of returning in half hour’s time; and the Saexa Darga Bronson Derricsson (more of a “Charles Bronson” than “Bronson Pinchot”, to our sorrow) is leading a string of four ponies, one thrall, one donkey, one cart (carrying two Saexa corpses, with room for a lippy Cymry if he keeps it up).

Play

Eighth through Tenth Day of the Spring Season (New Moon -6 / New Moon -4), Year 2375 of the Imperial Calendar.

New member Shank returns to the battle site after a cautious interlude; to find the Saexa corpses, Cymru ponies, and secure ass storage system missing. He does find the comatose and unmolested bodies of Erdudfyl and Meurig nearby. He stands watch over them until the sun sets and the silver beams of the waning moon first break between the trees, at witch point Erdudfyl and Meurig regain consciousness (if possibly altered consciousness from their journey beyond the black gates of death).

At Shank’s suggestions, the three rest and recover for the night, then head toward the nearby town of Radnor to resupply at first light, as well as make urgent inquiries regarding Ifan the Black, and/or Bronson Derricsson.
Spring Season, Day 10 (4 days until the new moon)

Supplies are acquired and Shank gets himself caught up for vagrancy while casing a merchant for burglary. Ifan and Bronson are left for another day while Shank gets run out of town on a rail (which while humiliating, is very much a “best case scenario” given the circumstances.

The team returns to the Radnorshire crossroads to regroup, plan strategies, and resdistribute adventuring gear. Camp is established as the sun sets. As the sky lightens on the following day, a heavy fog covers the land, and the Ranger Erdudfyl makes out the gleaming white coat of a Fairy steed in the distance, and sets out in pursuit.
The day is spent tracking and following a white stag southwest over the Rive Wye into Cantrev Selyf via wilderness paths. Along the way, Shank’s pony is lost, along with a substantial portion of adventuring goods. And when the party awakens the following morning, Shanks gear and clothing is left behind in a neatly folded pile; but no trace remains of the Thief otherwise.
