Elves

Elves are moderately to significantly taller then Men, typically in the six and a half to seven and a half feet tall range, with corresponding weights (180-225 pounds). They are limited to a maximum level of 10 in the Elf class (which combines the advantages of Fighters with the Druid spell list). At any point after their 100th year, Elves may dual-class into Magic User: unlike their use of Druid spells (which are not limited by weapons or armor worn), Magic User spells may not be cast while wearing any armor. Devils

“Devils” belong to the tribe of Shaitan, of the Ifrit (in the Eastern lands, where the Gods and mankind arose). Their seat of power was the brass city Irem of the pillars, until they were cast down. They are of Law, but are malevolent and without pity. They are the lash that the gods employ when it becomes necessary to punish mankind. They are not of Tiamat, or chaos. Continue reading Devils

The Holy Empire

It’s been a generation of conflict and strife, and the furthest edges of the empire were the first to fall into secessionist feudal kingdoms (“The Young Kingdoms”, generally). What this means for the demi-human races (“The Fair Folk”, collectively, in the west) not aligned with Chaos who had been in long centuries of decline due to the ascension of the Holy Empire, is still a tale waiting to be told. Adventure Background

After obtaining approval (and minor healing charms) from the Wisewomen of the caravan, these Bravos (and an unemployed mercenary) follow the rumors of dancing lights and unearthly sounds to the site of an abandoned silver mine in the wilderness nearby. On Law, Chaos, and The Balance

Before the world was created, there was raw, formless chaos. The god Marduk killed the mother goddess Tiamat and used half her body to create the earth, and the other half to create both the paradise of šamû and the netherworld of irṣitu. There are many, many lesser deities in the pantheon of gods, but they are all the same gods regardless of where on the world you journey amongst human lands.
